Learn the knotting technique used by professionals. Skills learned in this class can be easily adapted to create illusion-style necklaces. In this class, the design should be kept simple to facilitate learning the technique. Each student will finish a knotted
bracelet.

Flowers (Intro)
Learn basic techniques while creating a lightweight, colorful bracelet and matching
earrings from jump rings. The weave you’ll create is called Flowers,
and you can learn several variations, including Mobius Balls and a Japanese
version of the weave.

Peyote Stitch Donut Bail (beginner) (click for large photo)
This project uses peyote stitch to make an elegant bail that can be sized to fit any donut bead or multi-stranded necklace.
Materials: 1 x 25 to 40mm Gemstone
donut; 1 tube of delicas or size 11/0 seed beads to compliment the colors in the stone; size 12 beading needle; 1 roll of Nymo D to match the color of your seed beads

Beginning Chainmaille (intro) (click for large photo)
Discover the versatility of chainmaille by linking plain and colored rings together to make 2 pairs of earrings. The techniques you’ll learn in this intro class are useful for jewelry repair. Advanced students are also welcome to take this class. You’ll be able to create your own designs or follow one of the class samples, using a variety of sizes and colors.

Harvest Moon Necklace (ambitious beginner/intermediate) (click for large photo)
Develop your basic skill in wirework and stringing by combining these two skills to create a sophisticated, organic or Bohemian design, depending on your chosen beads.

Bohemia Tassel Necklace (beginner/Intermediate)
Inspired by vintage Edwardian and 1920’s jewelry styles, this project combines an
eclectic collection of beads, chain and wire wrapping. Depending on the materials used, this necklace can look elegant and dramatic, or fun and flirty!
Pre-requisite: Ability to make a wrapped loop.
Materials: A handful of accent beads between 3 and 12mm in coordinating colors,
or a boxed bead mixture; 12 to 18 inches of chain; 22g wire to match your chain; 6
head pins; 2 to 3 feet of synthetic suede cord.

Xhosa Scallop Stitch (intermediate) (click for large photo)
This stitch originates from Pretoria, South Africa. Worked in 2 interlocking layers, scallop stitch produces a necklace with a soft drape and an intriguing texture.

The Japanese family of weaves is structurally geometric and can be used to create shapes such as triangles, hexagons and squares. In this class, you’ll use small rings to link larger rings into a bracelet that resembles lace. Create a 2-row bracelet or a wider 3-row cuff.

Tubular Herringbone Stitch Primer (click for large photo)
This stitch originally comes from KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Also called Ndebele stitch, the stitches form a distinctive texture resembling fishbones or herringbone fabrics. The stitch forms flexible tubes that can be worn as they are or as a base for further embellishment.
Materials: 1 tube of size 8/0 seed beads or triangle beads; nymo D beading thread; 1 size 10 or 12 beading needle; 2x8mm glass or gemstone beads; 8 to 12 inches of Softflex .019 beading wire; clasp; 2 crimp beads and 2 jump rings

Amber Dichroic Wire-Wrapped Pendant (click for large photo)
This class teaches you how to make beautiful wire wrap pendants. You will learn the basic wire wrap of a cabochon using square wire, half round wire and dichroic glass wrapped in sterling silver and 14K gold-filled wire. Once you have mastered this technique, you will be able to wire wrap a variety of shapes and sizes of cabochons. This class is appropriate for all skill levels.

This bracelet has an even count peyote stitch base, and has a rosette of modified, spiky fringe at its center or if you feel ambitious you can encrust the full
length bracelet.
Prerequisite: Knowledge of even count peyote stitch is useful.

Bring a balance into your life by the use of a hanging crystal

Snowflakes (intermediate) (click for large photo)
Create an intricate, lace-like piece perfect for the winter season. You’ll receive enough materials to make two snowflakes. Create a large version to use as a holiday decoration and then create a smaller (1.25” x 1.25”) version suitable for a lovely pendant. Or make two large or two small - whatever you wish!
